Netflix South Africa

How to watch Netflix in South Africa using Unotelly

Hi,

I’ve been watching Netflix for some time now and it’s been working like a charm for me. I would rather spend money on Netflix than spending a ridiculous amount of money on DStv every month. And Netflix is not very expensive.

All you need to watch Netflix in South Africa is the following:

  1. An ADSL uncapped internet connection (I recommend a 4MB uncapped ADSL line with Mweb)
  2. An Unotelly account which is about $3.94 or R55 per month
  3. A Netflix subscription which is around $7.99 or R110 per month

So the first you need to get setup is your uncapped internet or capped can also work but because it’s streaming movies, you might want to either get a capped plan with a large cap or uncapped.

Once that is set up and working, go to Unotelly and sign up for an account there. This will change your IP and make it look like you’re in the US. It basically updates your IP address to a US one and then you will be able to access the Netflix website from South Africa.

Next step is to sign up for a Netflix streaming plan. This starts at $7.99 per month.

And that’s about it.

You can comment below if you need any other info and I will see where I can help.

Hi. I'm currently 30 years old and I'm a full time Front-End Web Developer. I'm a cat lover. I created this blog when I was figuring out how Wordpress works and it eventually started to get a lot of traffic. I'm now trying to help fellow South Africans with general how to stuff for example how to renew your car license disc. I will try to write as many blog posts as I can. I hope you enjoy this website and don't forget to leave a comment.
